2021 Chevrolet Traverse: Engine & Towing Features
Now that you know about the Chevrolet Traverse towing capabilities, it’s important to know all of the configuration options you can choose from. Here are the seven configurations: L, LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS, Premier, and High Country. Each of them offer the 3.6L V6 engine which generates 310 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. The 9-speed automatic transmission makes for smooth gear shifts on all your commutes.
- Trailering Package: The trailering package comes with a hitch attached to the back of the Traverse to allow hauling. Also, it includes the heavy-duty cooling system which works to prevent your engine from overheating.
- Tow/Haul Mode: The Tow/Haul mode is found on the Driver Mode control dial. This mode allows you to automatically adjust transmission gears while using your Chevy Traverse towing capacity. As you accelerate, the transmission will remain in the lower gear for a longer period of time to generate more torque.
- Trailer Sway Control: The Stabilitrak® Electronic Stability Control System includes the Trailer Sway Control. It will apply the brakes if the trailer sways during towing.
