2022 Chevy Corvette Preview
The arrival of the new Chevy Corvette is on the horizon, and it’s bringing with it a special edition, three new colors, and mechanical upgrades. New Braunfels Chevy enthusiasts can expect to find the same thunderous V-8 engine under the hood, which is capable of incredible figures. Below, you can learn more about the 2022 Corvette price and engine, as well as what’s new for 2022!
What’s New for the Corvette?
Here are few highlighted changes for the 2022 model year:
- IMSA GTLM Championship C8.R Edition: Chevrolet is offering this limited-edition package for the Corvette to commemorate the C8.R race inaugural season. There will only be 1,000 units built, and the package will cost an additional $6,595 on top of the 3LT configuration. This package is only available for 3LT trims furnished with the Z51 Performance package.
- Three New Colors: For 2022, Corvette will offer three new colors: Hypersonic Gray, Amplify Orange, and Caffeine.
- Additional Changes: In addition to the above, the 2022 Corvette will get a brand-new low-profile rear spoiler and a new fuel pump and fuel injectors.
2022 Corvette Price & Engine
What’s the 2022 Corvette price? Below, you’ll find a quick overview of the prices for each of the Corvette configurations:
- 2022 Chevy Corvette 1LT: $62,195 starting MSRP
- 2022 Chevy Corvette 2LT: $69,495 starting MSRP
- 2022 Chevy Corvette 3LT: $74,145 starting MSRP
The 2022 Corvette boasts a naturally aspirated 6.2L LT2 V-8, which as mentioned above, is furnished with a new fuel pump and fuel injectors for greater fuel pressures. Engine figures remain the same at 490 hp (495 with performance exhaust) and 470 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, the engine comes connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox for silky smooth gear shifts.
What’s the Corvette Release Date?
The 2022 Chevy Corvette is expected to arrive later in 2021. It became available to order on July 1, 2021.
