The legendary Chevrolet Silverado performance begins with a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder that delivers 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. This engine delivers an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 19 MPG in the city and 22 MPG on the highway.

The turbo-diesel 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine comes with 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. If you’re looking for more power, you can turn to the 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque or the 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard, and a 10-speed automatic transmission is available. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and many trims have standard or available four-wheel drive.

Versions of the Silverado Pickup Truck

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is available in eight trims with three cab styles and three bed lengths. Add the four engine choices and drivers have a plethora of configurations to choose from. The bed choices include the 8-foot long bed, 6-foot-6-inch standard bed, and 5-foot-8-inch short bed.

The cab choices include the Regular Cab with seating for three, Double Cab with seating for five or six, and Crew Cab with spacious seating for five or six. The long bed is only available with the Regular Bed, while the short bed is only available with the Crew Cab. The standard bed is available with all cabs.

The entry-level WT (Work Truck) is designed for work-related tasks, but it comes with plenty of innovative features like a 7.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and a Rearview Camera.
